Packing for Paris etc in April----

Going to Paris-Burgundy-Lyon for two weeks in early April. Think I can do it with one pair of nice pants for evening and two pairs of casual pants for the day. REALLY want to go light...

Taking a trench coat

If the pants are dark colors, absolutely!!! That's about all I usually take myself.

I don't see why not
:-)

If you're a man that will definitely work.

Girl...

Going "noir", too

Thanks--

It works the same for women as men. 3 pair of pants is fine.

And people here complain the French and Germans are stinky!

This is far too little. I'm all for travelling light - but I tend to pack smaller lighter clothes - not nothing.

You should be fine with three pairs of pants.

suze Feb 26th, 2007 11:51 AM

like lawchick- I take along more pieces (& still consider myself packing pretty darn light).

but IF you are willing to wear the same clothes over & over again, I don't see any reason this can't work for anyone who is determined to do it.

Just let us know when you're coming over this neck of the woods.

Having said all the above - I went to the US once for 4 weeks with a change of underwear and a toothbrush - however, I came back with 2 suitcases full.

lawchick: traveling without anything is also a way to travel. You just have to wash a lot. ;)

Travelnut Feb 26th, 2007 02:38 PM

right - just b/c someone only packs 3 pair pants doesn't mean they don't WASH them somewhere along the way.
