OVERNIGHT TRAINS FROM VENICE TO PARIS
Hello.
I heard that eurorail can be a rip off if buying my overnight (hotel train in advance or on that site)
Does anyone have suggestions of web sites or other sites/trains to take from Venice to Paris and then Paris to Barcelona?
Thank you

www.sncf.com for both trains and cheap PREM fares - www.trenitalia for the Artesia France-italy night trains.
Eurorail or Eurail passes pay for the train fare but not sleeping accommodation - for example with a pass you must pay at least $32 extra for a berth in a couchette but that's all as the train fare itself is paid for. thus if you're doing extensive rail travel a Eurailpass may be a good deal (or a cheaper France-Italy pass or France-Spain pass) - especially the Eurail Select pass good in France, italy and Spain. But if just doing one of these night trains then no better to buy a point-point thru online France or Italian rail sites. RailEurope's full fares are not always that much higher but they don't offer the only online specials that sncf and trenitalia do - and these fares can be hard to get so act early - up to 90 days in advance.
If those are you only two trips then no the Eurail doesn't pass for you - do the online route.
