Overnight Train Paris to Venice

There are 3 of us girls traveling on an overnight train. We'd like to be safe and not have to sleep with strangers but we don't want to pay the price of a first class or a T3 cabin. Does anyone know if it's "allowed" that we purchase all 6 of the couchettes eventhough there are only 3 of us, just so we can get the privacy we prefer? Not sure if there's any rules against that eventhough we're willing to pay for it.

Well, of course not. You can each purchase two airline seats so you can sleep better on the way over, too.

What I think StCirq is driving at is that you will not simply be able to pay around $30 for each of the 6 couchettes. You will have to buy 6 tickets for the entire trip as well as the 6 couchettes. Surely this will be more expensive than a first class or a T3 cabin.........

Hi Tab - Rather than going to the expense of 6 tickets ... why not just get a cheap flight?

Even with the extra night in a hotel it'll probably cost less :)

The budget airline on the Paris-Venice route is MyAir:

Hope this helps ...

HI T,

I also suggest flying www.myair.com from Paris ORY to Venice VCE.
