overnight train from Prague to Krakow
Hello,
I'm attempting to book an overnight train from Prague to Krakow on July 20, 2013 for 2 adults, 1 sixteen year old and 1 six year old. A 4 berth couchette would be great. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to do this on https://www.cd.cz/eshop/. It won't let me for some reason. Is it too early to book this train ride? Thanks for your help. |
I don't think you can buy those tickets on there more than 2 months ahead of time. Wait until later in the month.

Yes 2 months is the normal rule for European trains or has been but now some countries allow 3 or even 4 months advance purchase. For lots of great info on European trains and overnight trains check out these IMO fantastic sites - www.seat61.com; www.ricksteves.com and www.budgeteuropetravel.com.

Overnight train from Prague to Krakow
Posted by: dgarvin on May 7, 13 I'm attempting to book an overnight train from Prague to Krakow on July 20, 2013 I strongly suggest that you contact www.budgeteuropetravel.com (BETS) as mentioned by PalenQ. Call them up. Byron and Linda are experts and are very helpful. I'm sure you can buy your ticket and bunk reservations from BETS but their price is probably higher than directly from the railroad, when you can get through to it. I've been on that train, but in the other direction, from Krakow to Prague. That was in January and I had no problem buying a ticket and reservation in the station on my day of departure. I would not bet on that for July. For an illustrated intro to night trains see http://tinyurl.com/y57vft. Try to avoid the panhandlers in the Prague train station. They can be a nuisance. |
The reason why I don't think you can is because on the Czech rail website, you clearly can click a date on the calendar and have it be "active" up until exactly two months out, and after that you cannot.
