Overnight train - booking problem

Hi,

I'm trying to book a overnight train from Paris to Rome. When I tried to book a train with a Prem's fare available, the only ticket delivery option available is to "Mail the tickets to my home" (eg. the "print your ticket online" option doesn't exist!) As I live in the USA the website doesn't allow me to mail to the States either.

I have read other posts about booking a Prem's fare on the SNCF website. I followed the instructions exactly on those posts, but without success. Can anyone tell me the proper steps to book a Prem's fare for an overnight train? Thanks.

Just give France as your address and pick up your ticket on arrival, either at a train station or an SNCF boutique. You'll need to present the confirmation number and the credit card you used to buy the ticket.

Hi a0,

You could also have your ticket mailed to you at your hotel in France.

Some international Prem fares are not printable. There is no option to pick up the tickets at the train station?

I'm having the same problem - but I'm trying to go from Rome to Italy.
It doesn't even list "pick up the tickets at the station" as an option.

Do I have them mail the ticket to my hotel?

Thanks!

Hi AB,

> I'm trying to go from Rome to Italy.

Y'all wanna repeat that?

You can always have your tickets mailed to your hotel.

Rome to Paris
Rome to Paris
Rome to Paris

(Oh dear, I'm channeling Loreli Lee...that does not bode well for the trip, does it?)

Well, I ended up trying to force the words USA into the address - and the website claims that it's being mailed to me. So - hopefully, it works.

And I did charge it on AmEx - and they usually have excellent customer service when things go wrong.
