Overnight layover in Dublin
Coming home from Rome in July my husband and I have an overnight layover in Dublin. We arrive at 2:15 or so in afternoon. Our travel agent booked us a hotel for the night. We fly out around 10 am the next morning. Any suggestions on restaurants or things we should do? Obviously not much with the time constraints but if you had one afternoon/evening in Dublin what would you do?

If you've not been to Dublin before AND your hotel is in the centre of the city, you'll be checked in by 4pm. I'd spend the evening around Temple Bar for its bars and restaurants and just for the "criac". You'll need to be up fairly early for a 10am flight, so don't overindulge!

Which Hotel?
What to do in Dublin depends on personal taste. from the airport check into your hotel and drop bags etc it's going to be about 3.30? the earliest you will get into Dublin is 4pm too late for Kilmainham or the Book of Kells pushing it for the Guinness Storehouse? or Jamesons Distillery? might catch a walking tour? Depends on what time you want to eat? later on maybe the Brazen Head for a meal and music/storytelling maybe the musical pub tour. Maybe the typical night out in Templebar?
