Overnight in Paris

My family and I have 24 hours in Paris, noon to noon on a Monday in April. Need suggestions for a schedule. First timers, but it's all the time we have this round.

Hi!
The first time I went to Paris I had 2 days and one was Easter. We just walked, saw as much of the city as we could.
Above is Fodors idea of how to spend 3 days in Paris- maybe that will give you some direction.
It will give you a taste and you will be making plans to go back for much longer soon, I bet :)

You might be interested in one of the hop on / hop off bus tours. That way you can see the highlights, stop at the sites that are important to you and you will still have a little time for just wandering! http://www.paris-opentour.com/index_eng.htm

and take a Bateau Mouche in the evening, rest your feet and see Paris from the water.

I agree with Scarlett, walk- April is magic there, they don't write songs about it for nothing, and the way you'll get the feel for the city is by walking, stopping at a cafe, seeing all the neighborhood gardens. If you stroll The Champs Elysee, you'll see the museums, the Tower, Notre Dame. Yes, there are prettier boulevards, but since it is the iconic view, it will be fun, and in the eve take one of the boat rides down the Seine to enjoy the lights. Can I stowaway?
