Outlet shopping in Trieste

Hi there,
Anyone know if there are any good places for outlet shopping in or near Trieste. We'll be spending 4 days there and I would like to get some good branded stuff which I normally can't afford!

Thanks,
Fran

The only place that I know of is the huge outlet mall right on the outskirts of Palmanova which is between Venice and Trieste. If you have a car, it is about an hour's drive if there is no traffic. I don't know if Palmanova has a train station, and what a taxi from there to the outlet would cost. It is possible the mall has direct bus shuttle to Trieste.

Palmanova itself is very small and has an utterly fascinating 15th c. layout, and so you might want to poke your head in to see as part of your excursion.

There may be another an outlet nearer to Trieste. I don't know. I believe the name of the Palmanova outlet is just that, or else it is Palmanova Mall. I don't know what shops are there. You can probably find all this info on the web, including transportation info.

Thanks Stevewith. I have heard of Palmanova. I was hoping for something in Trieste. Maybe I'll stumble onto something quite by accident like we did in Verona.
