OUTLET SHOPPING IN ITALY

Hi, we are travelling to Italy in May/June on a budget however would like to visit some outlet shopping centres. Do these have good bargains and which ones do you recommend

There are outlets all over Italy though most of those which are most popular with US travellers are in the Centre and North of Italy.

Which cities are you planning to visit?

As you surely know outlets are big business but in Italy you can still find many traditional factory outlets - literally a sales outlet attached to the factory. At these you are likely to get much better bargains than the modern outlet shopping locations.

Livigno is in northern Italy very near the Swiss border on the Bernina Pass and the whole town is a discount outlet. During the winter it becomes a ski resort in addition to being an out town.

Buon viaggio,

rbciao47 - note that OP is travelling in May/June which is not ski season. Also Livigno is hard to reach from just about anywhere especially outside of the ski season.

nochblad,

Thanks for the note, but I included the ski resort info as an extra bit of info. If OP goes there he will no doubt notice the many lifts going up the Alps.

Buon viaggio,
