Outdoor Opera in Rome in June

We'll be arriving in Rome on June 24, staying 4 nights and would love to attend an outdoor opera performance. Years ago they were held at the Baths of Caracalla, but I understand "they are no more." Does anyone know of another site? What about in Florence?
Thanks!

The principal outdoor site for opera in Italy is Verona. If you want to attend an indoor opera, La Boheme will be performed in Rome and Otelloa in Florence during the time of your stay.

Thanks for the info. Do you know the details of where LaBoheme is playing? How do you purchase tickets?
Thanks!

La Boheme is at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (the Rome Opera House). There are performances on June 25, 27, and 28.

For tickets you might try Charta (which seems to be a sort of Italian Ticketmaster). Their home page is http://www.charta.it/english/
(I have not personally purchased tickets through this agency.)

Ashcanannie - I MUSICI VENEZIANI do a programme of Operatic Highlights 2/3 nights per week at the church of St. Paul Within the Walls, Via Nazionale, if that interests you. Here's the link:

Hope this helps ...

What's On in Rome reports that "Carmen" will be performed at the Baths of Caracalla at the end of July.
