lets not post any queries tomorrow.What about messages of support instead? Remember that the people who work for fodors may find tomorrow difficult. It is going to be a hard day, but we should remember that it is going to be far more difficult for those who are directly affected.There is so little that most of us can do isn't there?

I respectfully disagree. There are a lot of things people can do. Go buy a few shares of stock (and support our lagging market). Go spend a few tourist dollars in the US. Contribute to a charity that has been set up in the name of a WTC victim. Be a friend to someone who needs one. Live your life in a positive and meaninful manner. Love your family. Give blood...... I am sure others can add to this list.

I think life should go on and people should go to work, post queries, continue their normal activities.

Post queries if you like, however, I'd like to see people NOT be nasty to or ridicule people when they do post queries. Not on this thread, but on a lot that i check out, people are just plain mean to each other. I don't understand it.

And folloing 9-11, posters here were so concerned to locate everyone who might have been in harm's way. Fodors was beautiful for a few days.

I think it is frustration in their own lives that makes people be mean and rude on the internet, including Fodors. It is a way to lash out and still be unidentified and not responsible for the action with no need to say sorry afterwards and no accountability.

Lots of terrible things happen to lots of good people. We go on with our lives.<BR>I'm as patriotic as the next person, but I hope that after the anniversary, people can put this behind them and move on. The media is beating it to death.<BR><BR>I come to the site to "escape," not to read and reread more about that dreadful day.

Titus, You must understand that it is still extremely painful for alot of people, myself included, and that sometime posting message like "Where were you on 9/11" helps to release the anxiety a bit. Seeing it replayed over and over and over on tv is really making me seriously sick but a simple post really does help.
