Here's a list of Paris restaurants that we've discussed on Fodors. I also like Michel's list. Cafe Hugo at Place Vosges is good for lunch. One of our favorites is L'Ilot Vache on Rue St. Louis en Ile. 38 Euro price fixe, 3 course dinner in a very nice room. I've had escargot, lamb chops, and creme brulee all 3 times we've been there. Another good choice is Bofinger. And I have to put in a good word for gelatto at Amorino on Rue St. Louis en Ile. Every cone is made in the shape of a flower. IMO, it's better than Berthillon. Have a good trip and we will be waiting for your trip report. |

TPAYT,
That's a lot of threads :) To encourage the food wars..I think the OP should try Amorino and Berthillon and pick a winner. |

Hello Everyone,
So it has now been 8 months since our trip to Paris, and I am just realizing I never came back on and thanked everyone for their contributions! Thank you all for your help. We had the perfect trip. The weather couldn't have been better, and we saw everything we planned for and then some. We managed to see the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Saint-Chappelle, walk the Islands, visit the Jardin de Luxembourg (where we enjoyed a nice relaxing afternoon), and still had time to visit Versailles on Sunday. Thanks again! |
