I was only able to look at a few since I'm at work, but can't wait to look at them a leisurely pace this evening.

Great pictures little. It looks like you had a wonderful time. I am happy to see that I am not the only one who likes to wander through old cemetaries.

Could you tell me where the taboggan slide is near Salzburg? I have never heard of this and it something I would like to check out during our next trip there in October. Thank you in advance. Jackie

Loved your photos...did you find it as hard as I did to photograph much of Vienna's center...all the buildings and structures are so massive that you can't adequately portray them...I found it frustrating. I visited these three cities about 4 years ago and now I believe I'm going to start planning a return trip!

Jackie,
We did the Sound of Music tour with Bob's Tours and the taboggan slide was one of the stops. You might be able to contact Bob's and they maybe able to help you. Here's their link: http://www.bobstours.com/

Carol,
Yes, Vienna was a hard city to photograph. I felt like a had to walk a block away to get the whole building in and then there was too much other crap in the way.

BTW--I'm glad everyone is enjoying them!!

Hey - nice pics! What is the "Median Line" in Old Town Square? I never noticed it before.

Hi Amy - loved the photos, thanks for posting them. I, too, take photos of doors, doorknobs and also windows. I just find them intriguing and yours were interesting!

We weren't real sure what the median line was. Of course it was written in czech but I'm planning on researching it when I get ready to make my photo album for the trip.

Lawchick--
I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT. It's great. I want the new rebel but it's expensive and there's nothing wrong with this one. Ya know it's like hey, it's new and more megapixels so I want it.

todor--
Ha Ha! I know it's funny that no one has said wow, it doesn't seem unstable. They were all just in awe of how beautiful it looked.

Hi Amy,

I have not looked through all of your photos yet but so far they are amazing!

My husband and I are going to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest in September and your photos are making me so excited. You're not an architect are you? My husband is, and he seems to take the same type of photos as you. Very nice details.

BTW, we are also staying at the Hotel U Tri Bubnu. Did you enjoy your stay there? We picked this hotel because of the great location. Did you like your room? Were the stairs difficult to manage with your luggage? Did you have a real hairdryer in your room or one of those large contraptions attached to the wall that just blows out whisps of air?

Thanks again for the photo links. I can't wait to see the rest.

Congrats on your trip, you gonna love Prague. We thought Vienna was just okay but we were in Prague first which spoiled us big time. You'll have to let me know how Budapest is cause hubby wants to go there too.
We loved the hotel in Prague. We were on the top floor and yes it was a pain to carrying the luggage but luckily it was our first stop so we have plenty of energy to do it. It's a nice hotel. They were very helpful and the location was awesome. There was a real hairdryer in our room, I think we found it in our closet. We used their hotel transfers as well and they were resonable and fast. Let me know if you have anymore Prague questions. I'll see if I can help.
Take care,
Amy

You have some wonderful shots and a great eye for detail. I know you took time to compose the shots; there are some interesting angles & close ups. I like to go to cemeteries too, but haven't seen any skulls with batwings around them. Spooky! Thanks for sharing your trip with us.
