Bookchick has long been one of my favorite people here and we share a love of Italy. (Coincidentally when my former girlfriend & I went to Europe two years ago, we departed on what turned out to be Bookie's birthday.) As Scarlett said, she's a great help to many people here on Fodors and is also, IMO, a very kindhearted woman with a strong spirit that will help her get through any curveballs that life throws her way.

Not that it's any of my business, but you seemed to be a very special couple that enjoyed one another's company and love of travel immensely. I'm sorry to hear that you are no longer together.
