OSLO WEATHER IN MARCH???

What kind of weather can I expect in Oslo during the last week of March. Is snow a given? Will be boots be necessary?

Hi, Nancy.
March weather in Oslo is unpredictable, but snow is not at all given. The last weeks of March most of the city streets will be dry. May be a little dusty.
If snow comes, most probably it will be as rain downtown.
If there have been big snowfalls during winter, some parks may be difficult and icy to walk in, due to the snow melting.
I wouldn't care about bringing boots. A pair of jogging shoes, though, would be fine.
March may bring fog, especially in mornings. Often this fog stays downtown all day, while the hills are really sunny and warm.
Anyway, second half of March is considered to be the start of spring. It certainly is not winter, even if trees will not be green. Sun will set around 7:30, I think.
Bjorn
