Oslo local with B+B suggestion or private room rental for tourists?
I am hoping someone can share some information on a clean b+b or private room they may have rented directly/ through a service for the city of Oslo. Need three nights for two people May 22-25, and besides the youth hostel, (about 70E/couple) doesn't seem to be much under $150 a night. Any ideas?
I understand there is a service in town once you get there ( not on the phone or internet) that will find you a private room, but if possible, would like to go with reservations in hand.

This site list a number of B&B in Oslo: http://bbnorway.com/ I have no experience with the site, nor any of the places listed.
Seems like Oslo is almost sold out of hotel beds for the period you want to stay.
Cochs Pensjonat may be an option for you: https://cochspensjonat.no/ I have no personal experience with them, but understand from others that they offer a reasonable good standard.

Hi Lin,
Several excellent restaurants close by Anker hotell. The newly opened Trattoria Popolare is a brilliant Italian place. Their oxtail ravioli is to die for. Resaonably priced (for Oslo) 4-course menu. In Trondheimsveien 2.
Delicatessen in close by Søndre gate 8 have served fabulous tapas for more than ten years. They put their heart especially into the daily specials. http://www.delicatessen.no/grunerlokka
Nex door Le Benjamin (French) also gets great reviews. http://lebenjamin.no/2011/
And all of the vibrant Grünerløkka area is full of cafés, restaurants and all kinds of small shops.

Thanks Kihme. I will pass this on to my budget-minded daughter I think their Ryanair hand luggage will have more snacks than clothes in it!
Hope to see you in Madrid if you coincide with Rocio's performance at Teatros de Canal! Got a great hotel rate at AC America for 58E.

Lin,
I'm afraid we'll have to stay in Oslo in June, but then again, Oslo in June is not a bad place to be. I'wish you a great Molina experience! Hope to see her in Nerja in July or in the fall somehow.
