Oslo and Stockholm

You will enjoy Oslo although the cost of food and drink can be extremely high. Suggested things to see: Bigdoy Island with its museums (Viking ship, outdoor museum of old homes and farms); Frogner Park with its marvelous collection of Viggeland statues; tall ships in the harbor; Museum of the Norwegian Resistance. A great town for people-watching and strolling. If you can squeeze it in, the round-trip by train to Bergen. The land to the west and the Atlantic coast becomes more and more scenic the farther you go. Too bad you don't have enough time to see the great fjords--Sognefjord, Geirangerfjord, etc. The train trip to Stockholm is much like traveling through Minnesota--trees, lakes, more trees. Quite flat. Little towns. Small farms.
