orly to latin quarter
Will be dropping off the rental car at Orly and will then need to get to our hotel in the Latin Quarter. I am inclined to ask you for the least expensive way to do that. However, convenience is also important. We will have some bags with us. Please advise.
Merci |
Easiest way is Orlyval automatic rail to the RER B. That will allow you to get off at Saint Michel-Notre Dame or Luxembourg stations.

It is only about a 20E cab ride.

Since you asked, the cheapest route would be to take bus 285 from Orly to the Villejuif-Louis Aragaon Metro station which is at the end of line 7. Then take line 7 to Jussieu, transfer to line 10, and take it to the Metro station closest to your hotel.

Thank you for your replys. My adventerous side has me tempted to ignore Gretchen's obvious response. Kerouac, thanks for the link and advise. What is Orlyval, is that a bus? I am assuming that RER is rail. Tim, thanks for the great map link. Is Metro also a bus?
Thanks again |
The RER is the suburban rail system whose lines pass through Paris and link with many Metro stations. The Metro is the Paris subway system. The Orlyval is an automated driverless shuttle train that goes between Orly and the RER B station at Antony. And, just for the record, there is also the Orlybus which goes non-stop between Orly and the Denfert-Rochereau RER station.
