Ordered Borghese Gallery tickets?
 

Hi<BR>From the Borghese website I went to the<BR>ticketeria.it website which is supposed to be where you can order tickets, but nothing happens when I click on the appropriate ticket-ordering icon--it just freezes.<BR>Tried the Italian as well as the English.<BR>Anyone gotten through recently?

I tried a couple of weeks ago to order a ticket for late September. I got through the automatic ordering process, but the next day I got an e-mail saying it was too soon and I should try again in August.

We were in Rome in May.<BR>We called the Borghese at 9:00 AM and got tickets for 1:00 PM that day. I don't know if we just got lucky, but since late Sept is not the height of the tourist season, you can probably call as soon as you get to Rome and get tickets.<BR>By the way, it was wonderful! My daughter and I are not art connoisseurs, but the Bernini sculptures were so magnificent and moving, that it was one of the highlights of our stay in Rome.

Elaine:<BR><BR>I had exactly the same problem with the web-site freezing. Are you using Netscape? For some reason, Netscape seems to have serious problems connecting to Italian web-sites. On the advise of another on this forum, I switched to Microsoft Internet Explorer and the reservation went through without a hitch. If you do not have this option, you can also call them from here or when you get to Rome as Karen suggested. Also, your hotel will probably be happy to do it for you if you ask them.<BR><BR>Good Luck,<BR><BR>Gerry

Had no problem ordering Borghese Gallery tickets online using AOL.<BR>I guess it IS good for something LOL<BR>

Hi Elaine,<BR><BR>You can easily have your hotel take care of getting tickets for you. That's what we did, when we arrived in Rome, (last year, in June), and it wasn't a problem at all.

I got through a few weeks ago, but was told it was too early to make reservations for the first week of November--said to try again in October. So you may not want to try again until August since it appears that they won't make your September now anyway.
