Opinions on our 10 day Ireland trip PLEASE!!

Ok, so this is what we've come up with so far, any opinions greatly appreciated!

July 1&2 Dublin. We liked the Hop on/off tour and the Irish Musical Pub Crawl, so lets keep that the same. We would like to stay at the Temple Bar and Hotel though. Also a tour of the Jamieson distillery in dublin.

July 3 Kilkenny. Rock of Cashel guided tour, Kilkenny Cathedral and Round tower, Rothe house.Hotel overnight.

July 4&5 Kilarney or Kenmare. Ring of Kerry, Muckross House, etc Hotel stay.

July 6&7 Town of Dingle This seems like a good place to stay at a B&B. We liked the Milestone House.

July 8th and 9th, Galway- Cliffs of Moher and Burren day tour, 2nd day hop on hop off tour Lally tours- Galway. We like the park house hotel.

fly home 10th from Shannon

We saw that musical pub crawl a couple of nights and they have a huge group. Just a fyi.
Cobblestone/ Smithfield great for music.
Have you stayed in Temple Bar before? Very loud at night and the kegs start rolling down the street at closing till early light. Bring the ear plugs.

I don't remember Milestone being within walking distance of the pubs, so if you plan to do any drinking you might want to stay closer to town. If you aren't drinkers, then the location is great. The days are very long at that time and you will hears cows lowing in the fields nearby.

How are you travelling between these places? I don't see any travel time being taken into account.

Allison, I would rather hear cows than kegs rolling but we always try for something within walking distance because we are drinking.

On your July 3rd date, are you planning on visiting Cashel en route to Kilkenny from Dublin? This is not a great plan; better to see Kilkenny first and move on to Cashel.
Not sure if the Cashel Palace Hotel will have reopened by next July but it promises to be a top class venue after a major revamp is completed.
Why you feel Dingle is a particularly great place for B&B's? Benners Hotel is right in the middle of town so it's just a gentle stagger to Foxy John's, Dick Mack's, Hannie Agnes's, John Benny's ..... And if you're hungry after all that, and like your seafood, you're almost at Out of the Blue; highly recommended.

Just back from 8 days seeing as much of Ireland as possible...see my posts...be brave and rent a car...automatic is a must, but you will see so much more with this approach, and if you have co-pilot in front with you you will master the art of driving on left quickly. In fairness , so you know , the roads are not wide. We stayed at Airbnb in Dublin , walking distance to everything but a more quiet area.Temple bar area is very touristy.

Please think carefully before you stay in Temple Bar. It really does get noisy and messy at night - I really advise staying elsewhere.

Consider the newer, independent Teelings Distillery for a tour - https://teelingdistillery.com/ - it's very interesting.

In Dublin, if you like traditional music you could take a look at a new venue called Magistorium - www.magistorium.com . It's only just opened but it looks good with interesting acts. If you're into proper, old-style trad sessions then take a look at the Cobblestone in Smithfield (but be warned - it's a "listening pub" - no talking during the music!) - www.cobblestonepub.ie .
