opinion on an apartment in Florence

I will be traveling to Italy in April with my husband. We are looking for an apartment in Florence for 5 nights.

I'd like your opinion on this apartment:

Thanks!

It looks gorgeous, and what a location!

My only concern would be noise -- you might consider asking the owners if street noise (traffic or people) is a concern there (or check reviews, if such are available).

I think the location is fine, but I notice the listing mentions "kitchen" but does not show even a hint of a kitchen, nor does it mention facilities within the kitchen. Makes me a little suspicious...

We are staying in this apartment in late March.

I suggest this http://www.riversuites.it/en/ very close to San Nicolò area. They are elegant as the accomodation you asked opinion for, but probably cheaper and with the Best Western group quality beside them.

The description mentions the apartment is located "above our family restaurant." That could mean things like noise (diners talking, plates/pots/pans being stacked/washed, etc.) and aromas/smells, all late into the evening. Or not. Without any reviews posted, you having nothing to go on but 7 photos.

I would be concerned about the lack of reviews.

Since the apartment's only been on the VRBO site since 2014, I wouldn't be too concerned about lack of reviews. But the kitchen issue might be worth asking about if you plan to so much as make a pot of coffee or a light meal there - might not be possible. And the restaurant noise may also be a problem. I would also want to see a photo of the bathroom. Other than all that, it looks lovely!

Just an fyi- I've had good results with SleepInItaly.com and RentalInRome.com. I would work with either agency again, no problems.

(I'm always leary when there is no picture of the kitchen or the bathrooms. I even like to see a layout, as some bathrooms are only accessible by going through a bedroom, and I've seen bedrooms that are only accessible by going through another bedroom!)

Good luck!

PS Perhaps you could ask this owner if they could forward pics of the bathroom and kitchen area.

Chairs for the balcony Baths and Kitchen are important to me too.
