Operating hours for sites in Italy

Does anyone have some good information/sites for operating hours for museums and sites in Italy for the last two weeks in June? Rome/Florence/Venice/Sorrento-AC...we will be there for two Mondays which I hear have many closings? Thanks!

You need to google the individual sites. It's true that all over Europe, lots of things are closed on Mondays, but some are closed on Tuesdays...and Italy has its own peculiarities. No one can give you general blanket information. Got to do your own research and hope for the best.

Agree completely with StCirq. Every place is different so this is one you need to research on your own.

But: expect churches in Rome to be closed for lunch/siesta, including some of the most artistically important. Expect most useful shopping (supermarkets, etc) to be closed on Sundays and many shops to be closed midday, especially in smaller places, which also have early closing once a week.

Museums and historical sites are all over the map, and it changes by season.

One other caution. Most sites will close admission at least 30 minutes prior to their official closing times--sometimes more.
