We saw a wonderful opera in the town of Macerata. The town is just up from Ancona.

The Arena (an old Roman amphitheater) in Verona hosts a summer opera season. Don't have a link off-hand, but a good search engine to use is Vivissimo.com

Try http://www.ciaoticket.it
http://www.selectitaly.it
http://www.leonidaniele.it

Also, we ordered out Verona arena opera tickets from the Verona opera website and picket them up when we got to Verona. No problems. Outdoor performances at Macerata are very fine. They, too, have a website. Use google to find the sites.
