Opera in Lucca in May?

I'd love to hear some opera when we're in Lucca in May, however on the information I've seen it looks like it's the only month when there's no opera.....does anyone know of any in May? Serena

Darn, serena, I was hoping someone would respond with some opera in May and then I would ask if I could tag along to the performance, as my husband doesn't do opera.

The season in Lucca finishes in April (though their theatre is not only an opera one ) and then the Puccini Festival, which is not in Lucca but in a nearby coastal town called Torre del Lago runs July-August, so I think you have bad luck this time..sorry !!!

And we will be in Rome May 31, June 1,2,3, with friends. She and I are the opera buffs -- but I can't find any opera in May-June in Roma!
