Neopolitan Apr 12th, 2006 08:04 PM

I'm taking a giant needle and will stick him every time he snores. LOL

guaranteed Apr 13th, 2006 03:20 AM

The L'Academie looks really good at 100 Euros for a deluxe. Normally I wouldn't have any qualms, but there were a couple of red flags....

First of all, if you check Tripadvisor, the most recent review absolutely trashed the Hotel, and the previous half dozen (who gave it 5/5) all look like they were written by the same person

And secondly, the conf put out a list of rec'd Hotels, and the L'Academie wasn't on the list. I find that unusual because the Hotel is directly across the street from the conference.

The nice thing about Paris in mid July, is that Hotels aren't booked solid. So if the L'Academie turns out to be a bad experience, we will just check out and go elsewhere.

Guaranteed, I got my tickets today. Did you get yours? I'm curious how your wife reacted to the arrival in the mail.

guaranteed Apr 20th, 2006 10:20 AM

Haven't received it yet.
But no big deal.
Maybe I will retreive the letter
And give it to my wife on her Birthday.
Which happens to be just before the Paris trip,

:-)

Cimbrone Aug 4th, 2006 01:29 PM

to the top!

starrsville Aug 4th, 2006 01:36 PM

Thanks for topping Cimbrone.
This gets even more bizarre. Why the turn on Neo?

Neopolitan Aug 4th, 2006 01:42 PM

Huh? What turn on me? What on earth are you people interpreting? He posted to say how nice I was -- why you think his comment about a jerk behind him was ME is totally baffling.

Cimbrone Aug 4th, 2006 02:03 PM

Neo, see his post of 4:50 on the other thread. Clearly, the written word is not guaranteed's forte. Ending with "have a nice life" certainly gives the impression that he did not take kindly to your post in which you jokingly thanked him for leaving. Wouldn't you agree?

Neopolitan Aug 4th, 2006 02:29 PM

So it is. I even added a full paragraph making sure no one could possibly take the comment that I was glad they left so I had a better seat as anything other than a joke. I can't believe that he actually didn't get it.

Sort of like saying "glad you didn't like the creme brulee, as I got two that way". Would someone actually think you took delight in the fact that they were unhappy with their dessert?

FainaAgain Aug 4th, 2006 02:40 PM

Neo, joke away, as long as you don't expect to have my cream brulee ;)

walkinaround Aug 4th, 2006 02:42 PM

neo...in reading this pre-meeting post, don't you wish you could turn back the hands of time?

starrsville Aug 4th, 2006 02:48 PM

Neo steals creme brulees?! As long as he leaves my Pink House praline baskets alone!

Nikki Aug 4th, 2006 02:50 PM

I told you those seats were uncomfortable.

Trophywife007 Aug 4th, 2006 03:21 PM

LOL, Nikki, you did indeed!

Scarlett Aug 4th, 2006 03:37 PM

Perhaps it was mentioning his wifes bushy tail that caused problems?
Or perhaps Mrs guaranteed liked Neo better than Dr gauranteed? understandable if so.

starrsville Aug 4th, 2006 03:40 PM

but futile.
Affairs of the heart can be so brutal.
Actually, I think it's just his sore bum talking.

massagediva Aug 4th, 2006 04:42 PM

well, the talking is definitely coming from that direction...

starrsville Aug 4th, 2006 05:27 PM

The other thread has been pulled. Thank goodness!

JAGIRL Aug 4th, 2006 05:58 PM

Loved the post that asked whether his sore back was caused from contorting himself to put his foot in his mouth so often. :))

Nina66 Aug 4th, 2006 06:15 PM

Thanks JAGIRL. That was probably the nastiest post that I have ever written and I loved typing every word of it. I waffled between posting it on this thread or the other one and made the wrong choice - again.

I will repeat part of it, just incase guaranteed dds.ret. missed it.

It was obvious that Neopolitan was referring to the lady with the fat knees who was sitting behind him, NOT the jerk with the fat mouth that was sitting next to him.

Mrs.Gail Guaranteed, my deepest sympathy for being married to such a pompous jerk. Too bad he has no sense of humor. You obviously had your heart set on going to the Ballet, and his whining and complaining ruined it for you. Although you are probably used to it.

Can you imagine what he used to say to his patients who didn't floss - probably called them disgusting names and then pulled their teeth out.

He started out to be such a considerate gentleman - he must have forgotten to take his meds.

He mentions that while she sleeps, he prowls the streets of Paris, off leash. Don't they have laws in Paris about keeping dogs on leash? This guy needs a very short leash and a muzzle. As a dog owner and lover, I apologize to any chiens who may be reading this.

Nina
