Open jaw ticket?

What is an open jaw ticket? I'll be flying into Rome and leaving from Venice. Thanks.

You will have an open jaw ticket.Flying into one city and departing from another is an open jaw itinerary.A ticket can be single open jaw or double open jaw. Most double open jaws however tend to be more expensive that singles.I hope this helps.

What is a double open jaw? Flying into one city, flying to a second and leaving from a third? We use open jaw flights frequently but have never heard this term.

I'd hazard a guess that a double open jaw is leaving from A arriving into B departing from C and arriving back into D.....do I win the prize?

Plates is the winnah!! If I fly from LAX to CDG and the FRA to SFO, then I have a double open jaw.

And if you do that you'll probably pay the same as two one-way tickets. "Double open jaw" is not a term most (any?) airlines will book, but asking is free.

Snowflake, look carefully at the cost differential for an open-jaw with one leg departing VCE, vs a plain RT somewhere. You might find that the round-trip, say to Rome, then a one-way ticket back from Venice, esp. on a budget airline, is the cheaper way to go.

Open Jaws are the way to go given your destinations. They also tend not to cost much more than a round trip. Out last 3 trip to Europe we did openjaw and had great fares (2 were different countries and one was like yours but reverse).
