Oops

How does this happen...because I am typing too fast. It's there for all the world to see. And I, being the correct spelling freak. OK it is "accommodations"

LOL!! Marilee, this is why I no longer play spelling police on this forum!!

Wouldn't it be neat if we could edit after we hit the "Post My Reply" button? It's possible to do this on other boards, such as biddingfortravel.com. Sure wish we could do it here. I invariably have at least one mistake in every post.

My vote for editing as well.

And, Marilee, you're not alone when it comes to the spelling demons. Yesterday I sent a "Letter to the Editor" of our local newspaper, and misspelled the word "resources" as "resourses." Today I had to march up to the editorial offices, where everyone knows me as one of our high school English teachers (34 years, no less) and make sure they caught the mistake. Grrrrr!

Gerry K

marilee:

I think it's slightly amusing that you didn't post this ON the thread where you made the typo (but I really am NOT making fun of you - - just one of those snicker to myself kind of things!)

http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessages.jsp?fid=2&tid=1401451

Especially since it was languishing about a hundred deep, and had never been "topped" or gotten any response(s). I only know this because I just posted its first response - - and thus topped it.

I din't think that the mispelling contributes in anyway to whether you get numerous, nor quality answers.

Best wishes,

Rex
I always wonder why people don't just type more slowly and carefully and read their message to check for errors before hitting the "post my reply" button.
