Try Kitzbuhel, Seefeld, Rattenberg, Bolzano(Italy),
Have fun |
You should go to Salzburg and Veinna. Both are beautiful. Salzburg is a smaller, quieter places with pretty places around it, veinna is a big city but very clean and beautiful architecture all around. We found it much better than Paris!

Definately go to Salzburg, it's beautiful! Go up to the fortress for a beautiful view over the town. Also, you might want to see if you can go up into Bavaria (southern Germany). I don't know what the rail links are like, as we drove, but there are some beautiful places to visit such as Fussen, where the Neuschwanstein Castle is, or Oberammague (sp?) home of the Passion Play, or Gamisch, where the Winter Olympics were once held.
I hope you have a wonderful trip! |
I agree with Emma. Last fall I had a car, so can't advise on rail, but I loved Durnstein (medieval town on Danube where Richard I was held captive). From Vienna you can take boat. I loved the whole Wassau valley on Danube. Melk, Lenz. The area of Ludwig's castles is beautiful..Garmish, Fussen, etc. Have fun!

You MUST go to Durnstein -- the most beautiful village in Austria.
