one week to travel leaving Copenhagen...where should we go

we have one week to go somewhere after being in Copenhagen for a week on business.
We have a medium sized budget...we like History and adventure and getting a taste of the local flavor...we can stay in Denmark or fly or drive to another country...any advice?

How much of Denmark will you have seen while in Copenhagen?

You could fly to Greenland! That's where we went from Copenhagen. It's a wonderful, adventurous place.

Depends on how much free time we have...but we will have a limited amount of time the first week while in Copenhagen. I have thought about just renting a car and taking the next week to explore Denmark...we will be there next June...but I have to make our air reservations within the next couple of weeks and I need to know where we will end up for our flight home
