I'll do my best to explaine the "temporary approval" issue. Whenever you make a charge the vendor (hotel, travel agency, etc.) will put a "temporary charge" through to see if there are enough funds to cover your expense(ie. full stay at hotel, airfare, etc.) I've found that in the case of hotels, this "temporary approval" can eat up your open to buy on your credit card and not have those funds available to you. (happened once in Seattle at a Best Western...they made a mistake and put in $700 temporary approval, for a 2 night $60 a room night, we contacted our CU in NM and they took that off as the hotel wouldn't even talk to us.) Apparently they do this when you're checking for airline flights on Travel One, the only thing is that after the booking is cancelled (on their side) that is supposed to be cleared immediately. In this case, I checked their site on March 31 and went to Walmart yesterday and got declined on my CC that should have only had the charge I finally made for the airfare after giving up on Travel one w/ BA. I called my CC company and they told me that there were some charges from 3/31 still waiting to process. I e-mailed One Travel.com as requested after holding for problably 20 minutes and was supposed to have gotten a response within two hours and have yet to hear from them. I called BA told them my situation after being advised that that charge had been declined by the CC company and had them run it through after things were cleared by the CC company. Both the customer service at CC and BA were great, Travel One, lousy. Hope this didn't get too long!
