One Night London: Hotel Needed
We will be returning to London just to get our plane flight back to the States the following morning. Coming in on the Eurostar rather late afternoon. Can anyone recommend a hotel, mid range price, for that one night. Location convenient to St. Pancras and then to Heathrow transport the next day. Restaurants also in the same area?

We like the Millenium Bailey's, right across from Gloucester Rd tube station and the Picadilly line. Lots of nice pubs and restaurants in the area. I frequently get it on Http://www.londontown.com for about 80 GBP.
Orsini's across from the V&A is in walking distance, the Anglesea Arms has great food, Carluccio's is nearby. There are many good moderate places to eat in wal,king distance

We stayed at the Premier Inn Kings Cross fir a night and were satisfied. Just about a block from St Pancreas and the Tube Station. Nothing fancy but the rooms and bathrooms were clean and the front desk was very helpful.

Thanks for those suggestions. I am trying to find a hotel such as the Montague but closer to St. Pancras (those stairs at Russell Sq. tube are killers especially with suitcases). Probably a 3 or even 4 star (200/250 pounds double) So we can get off the Eurostar, get to the hotel easily, have a nice dinner and then get off to Heathrow early the next morning. Not a big fan of chain hotels.

That's why I asked -- £250 is a lot higher than mid-range for me. You could literally stay almost anywhere for that budget.
I personally wouldn't stay near St Pancras. You are only arriving from Paris on the train so jetlag/exhaustion shouldn't be a problem. I'd personally stay farther west (thus closer to LHR for your morning journey)
One of the nice places near Gloucester Rd tube would be my choice. Like Millennium Baileys or the Radisson Edwardian. Then you can hop on the tube to LHR in the AM. (or book a car service)
