One Night in Malaga

Hello all,

We are staying for one night only in Malaga, before training it to Sevilla the next morning.

We are looking for a quality establishment to eat with a lively atmosphere, good food, good views and not too far from the city centre of moderate cost :-)

Any suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

well for eating there is a lot of choice, between the main shopping area and the cathedral. I'd just walk it and see what is noisy

" training it to Sevilla" I just love your language, "tonight I will be beding it until morning :-) "

I would sooner be "wining and dining" especially in delightful Malaga. Tons of tapas bars to choose from, a search here will turn a number of them up. We liked:

One of the only tapas bars that serve sticky toffee pudding.

Take a look at Restaurante Montana, comes recommended by the Guia Respsol, the Spanish counterpart to the Michelin guide. With a nice patio/interior terrace. http://www.restaurantemontana.com/

Seafood restaurant Godoy down in the harbour. Málaga cuisine is much about fresh fish and seafood, and you can have wonderful food experiences in small tapas bars and restaurants all around town, but this is one of the more reputed marisquerías. http://www.marisqueriagodoy.com/

Be sure to have local pride Conchas Finas, pure sea and pure heaven: https://www.google.no/search?q=Conch...w=1600&bih=754

Later at night I recommend Bodega El Pimpi, an institution in town: http://www.elpimpi.com/en/

And Casa Aranda from 1932 is one of the best cafés I've ever been to. Just off central and pedestrianized Calle Marqués de Larios, perfect for breakfast or chocolate con churros anytime: http://www.casa-aranda.net/

all we did was to wander from one tapas bar to another, sampling their wares as we went and latterly staggered from place to place.

this was a while ago so I'm afraid I can't remember exactly where we went.

All i do remember is that we avoided the places where there was someone outside trying to persuade tourists to go inside and eat there.
