One for the cyclists out there - bilbo et al
Read this is the Guardian today. Quite a bike route! Homemade bikes as well.
https://www.theguardian.com/environm...climate-crisis I just wish I were a better cyclist, but no matter what I am too nervous to be safe, especially on our busy bike paths. |

Very nice!
That's a lot of miles in the saddle... I've been known to draw a lollipop route from time time to time but that is quite ambitious. |
I love it.
I think I’ve done 150 miles of the front wheel - anyone who has cycled in the mid Dordogne deserves respect - the hills are only short but there are so many of them. When I throw the towel in with work - I think I’ll just get on a bike. |
Aren't you supposed to get on your bike to find work?
I just read in the Independent that if the world cycled like the Dutch it would off set Germany's CO2 for a year: https://www.independent.co.uk/climat...-b2147770.html When it wants you to log in just click I'll Try Later. Note the distance they list as being a Dutch cyclist rides a day (a mere 2.6Km) that is based on everyone in the Netherlands, babies, oldies, refugees, and basically useless cyclists like me. My grandsons cycle further than that just to get to school, and the same home, and their mother cycles some 15km to work come rain, hail sun or snow. |

love it :-) I just read in the Independent that if the world cycled like the Dutch it would off set Germany's CO2 for a year: love it :-) I’d have thought that if the whole world just cycled - they still wouldn’t offset Germany’s power stations. |
