Any idea what is the price for 1D Roma pass and 1D venice pass?

Does the Rome pass cover entrance to Colosseum/palatine/forum?

Where can i pass these passes?

You will be rushed, stressed and unhappy in both cities, especially if you go in the Summer.

sorry... actually i will be spending 4 days in Rome and 2 days in Venice.

Heard that there is a one day rome pass and one day venice pass.
wanting to find out more on these passes.

Rome pass :
Does it cover entrance fee to vatican/colosseum/ palatine?

Does it also cover metro for the whole day.

How much does it cost and where can i purchase it?

where is the places the pass covered?

Do a search here for Roma Pass and you'll get lots of information. It is for three days and covers bus or metro and entrance into certain places. I believe the Vatican is not included.

For the Venice Card, again do a search here. I'm not sure it's available for only one day. It definitely does not cover a water taxi, a very expensive way to get around. It does cover the vaporetto, and entrance into certain places. There is also a vaporetto pass which covers just those, which is better unless you want to go to the specific places covered by the Venice Card.

vaparetto = taxi (similar to private taxi you'd get in any another city)

cost: depends on when, where, and how far you're going - just like a taxi anywhere else. As Susan said, it's a very expensive way to get around Venice

buy it: you pay when you ride. I'm not aware of being able to buy a pass for them ahead of time.

A vaporetto is a public bus, the main, least expensive means of transporttion in Venice aside from your own two feet. A private water taxi is called a water taxi or motoscafo.

Basic fare for one ride good for 60 minutes is €6.50. There are passes available, for 12-, 24- 36- 48-, and 72-hour passes, which might be economical for you depending on how long you stay and how much you plan to ride. In general, you buy them at ticket booths near the vaporetto stops. See this listing:

Keep in mind, the pass lasts the full number of hours, depeniding on when you first validate for your first ride. For example, a 72-hour pass validated at 12 noon of Day 1 would expire at 12 noon on Day 4.

ellenem is correct. You can also buy the Vaporetto Pass at the airport (if you're arriving by plane), and it covers the orange ACTV land bus to Piazzale Roma. From there you can take a vaporetto to your hotel.

More specifically, vaporetto is a public WATER bus.

Roma Pass will cover the Coloseum.
