one day in Bologna? recommendations please!
we are considering spending one day/night in Bologna breaking up the travel from Sorrento to Venice. considering staying at the Sofitel Bologna, due to it's proximity to the train. we would probably be there on a Sunday, arriving in Bologna about 2pm.
any ideas for a mini day? thanks |
oops forgot to mention this would be in May 06, in case that matters. thanks!

Just walk around the arcades and see the San Stefano church complex. You might want to go up one of the towers, but it is a long climb.

Have a chocolate gelato at Stefino's, via Galiera 49 (not too far from the train station). The most amazingly intense chocolate gelato I have ever tasted.
A lot of things will be closed on Sunday, but you can still enjoy the Piazza Maggiore and the Basilica -- and of course, find some great food! |
