I agree with Ira's outline, it takes time getting one place to the next, not to mention that I was in line at Ufizzi for two hours WITH a reservation.

Take your time, you'll see plenty.

This is the perfect itinerary for a day, I think your schedule is way tooo tight...considering I live in Florence and know how long even walking around can get...
check it out, it's what the official tourism site suggests, so it's reliable!

Also at the Bargello, the recently restored David by Donatello is back on display.

Just wanted to followup and say my busy day in Florence worked out great! I did all the things on my original agenda except for Giotto's Tower (feet and legs too tired to troop up the stairs) and I dropped the Medici Riccardi Palace. I added Santa Trinita church, Mercato Nuovo and some wandering. Lunch was at the Uffizi terrace cafe. There were absolutely no lines at anything!! I didn't need to use my reservations at the Uffizi or Accademia, so I saved 8 euro, yea! Just walked right in and up to the ticket booth and gained immediate access at both museums. No line at security at the Palazzo Vecchio and the secret passageways tours was only an hour and then I was able to wander the regular parts of the palace. I've started my trip report on another thread and will probably get to the Florence section later this week, but just had to share that it all worked out.
