Extremely well said, Wes! The spirit of generosity and humor found here can only be damaged by narrowly limiting what is considered "appropriate." And who gets to define what that is?

(However, I will repeat my earlier suggestion that multi-part reports be added to as "replies" under a single thread.)

Wes, your little "we are all guests at this Fodor's party" analogy is getting old. We all do here exactly what everyone does in real life, except at that real life party you wait until someone turns their back before you start criticizing and gossiping about them. There isn't anyone out there who has never criticized or gossiped about someone else, so get off your high horse.

And Wes, is posting admonitions to us all here your way of ignoring a thread, as you suggest others do? Oh look, you have an opinion just like everyone else don't you?

I enjoy the trip reports, as do the over majority of others on the board.

Sandi, if you don't like them skip 'em, or find a new board if this one does not meet your needs.

this ([email protected]), you are a coward for not posting under you true name and e-mail. Wes is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful memebers of this board. If you don't like what he says, don't read his posts.

I think trip reports take some of the guess work out of where to stay etc..for those of us trying to make a rare trip abroad as memorable as possible. I'm hoping that nobody will mind my trip report when I return in Nov.!!

Dear Sandi (Holmes), we all of us (or most of us at any rate) look forward to your trip report after your November trip. Don't worry.
And Wes, well and politely said as usual.

Sandi,

As it's optional to read the trip reports, I can't see your point. Skip them if you don't want to read them. I for one find them fascinating.
