On-line Train Schedules
I used to access www.thodendesign.com all the time to access European train schedules - it was very handy. But lately, it hasn't been "working". Do any of you have other sites that work for Europe in general, or are your sites specific to one country?

Try
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/que...rotocol=http:&

Paulo

I usually use the deutschebahn site. The url seems to have changed to: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/det...in/query.exe/e

Others use www.raileurope.com

http://www.hafas.de/index_e.html

This one reaches 5 sites: England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Poland. I can't read Polish, so it is not much help to me. The German, Austrian, and Swiss schedulers have English overlays.
France has a board, www.sncf.com.
It, too, has English overlays, but you have to keep asking for it because when you go from one section to the other it reverts back to French. Sort of quirky.
You also have to tell them how old you are!!
It has an impact on the price of the ticket if you are under 26 or over 62.

Also try the www.ricksteves.com site and go to the train section - it has online schedules as well (I think it may actually link to the Deutsch Bahn site)

This site gets you to the individual countries' rail sites, as well as the DB site (which is what's accessed if you click on EU)
http://mercurio.iet.unipi.it/misc/timetabl.html

I've used raileurope.com to get an idea on routes and schedules; I use the individual countries' websites to play with routing, and get prices.
