Omnia card - Vatican gardens

I am confused: in internet sites of Omnia card it is listed Vatican garden tour (by a bus, 2 hours). However, there are some internet sites where is specified that due to security reasons, this tour is not available.

Is somebody in this forum who took this tour recently? Do somebody know if the tour will be available in the middle of September?

My understanding is that this tour is run by the Vatican staff and can only be scheduled directly trough the Vatican. And to do the tour one would definitely need official identification and advance tickets.

Have no idea what an Omnia card is.

NYtraveler, I also was curios to know what is this card. It seems that it is a new one, for 3 days, for free using of public transport, free enter in some museums and reduction for other.

If you go to the Vatican web site they seem to be offering tickets. the gardens alone (guided only) are 24 euros per person and with the museum are 32 euros per person.

I didn't put in a specific date but Sept was still listed.

There are two different kinds of garden tours. There is one you book with the Vatican Museums and the one on the Omnia card. I think it's hard to get the value of the Omnia card. That card has been around for several years, but I think you don't hear much about it because not many people buy it.

The regular Vatican Garden tour is available for booking on the museum website and is 32€. It only has a few tours a day in English (possibly only one depending on time of year) and none on Wed. or Sun.
