I believe there's a Real McCoy's in Paris. They serve Amerian-style breakfasts and meals and stock peanut butter and Saltines and other American "staples." There are also an increasing number of cafés in touristy parts of the city that offer "American breakfasts."

McDonalds would be good if you want that Cheeze McMuffin or whatever.

There is a Tex-Mex American-style place (I don't think it really is American, but they do have some expat servers) called Mustang in Montparnasse which has American breakfasts. I'm not into big breakfasts, but their food is pretty decent -- at least the couple times I was there.

You do not need to go to an American restaurant to order an omelet, that is a very common French dish and they do them quite well.

For Tex-Mex, there is always the confusingly-named chain called "Indiana". I think they have one restaurant on the Place de la Bastille and another in St. Germain.

WARNING: THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION!

"in the touristy part of Paris...?" You mean the part that has everything people think is worth visiting?

Anybody know if they serve good grits in that cafe? Seeing as how its in France, maybe they fancy the grits up with a side order of mullet eggs (yellow row).
