"Oldy Worldly" restaurants in Zagreb & Dubrovnik?
 

Can anyone recommend any "oldly worldly", say 3 star, hotels in Zagreb and Dubrovnik please? Preferably near the 'old town'. Thanks in advance.

Meant to say Oldy Worldly HOTELS, but if you know of any O W restaurants, would appreciate that info too!!!

Don't know if it's oldly worldly worthy.... but we've been twice to a restaurant just inside the main gate... Proto... in good weather has a nice balcony dining area. Look to your right down the sight streets as you enter and watch for a cream colored awning.

As Grandma knows, Proto is our favorite restaurant in Dubrovnik as well.

We did not care for the Atlas Club Nautika.

will you have a car? If so, I can highly recommend an outstanding old worldly restaurant venue just south of the sirport, out in the hlls leading to Bosnia....let us know. It's an experience.

Yes, the "Konavoski Dvori" is an experience you don't want to miss. I've suggested it to several other posters and all came back aglow! Should take you about a half hour or a bit more..pleasant drive. Head toward the airport south on the main highway. Once past the airport and then the small village of Cilipi (which you may want to visit on the way back..that's why I suggest lunch at the KD rather than dinner...although there may be a folk show for dinner, not sure), after a few more kms. watch for an arrow-shaped sign on the right hand side of the highway just before the left hand turn to the village of Gruda. Take the turn, drive through Gruda and continue for about 3-5 kms and you can't miss the KD on your right..parking lot on left...fantastically lush grounds, rushing river and waterfalls.....take a walk..enjoy!!
