'Old School London' tips

Hi, have started a London blog aimed at telling people about the authentic, unspoilt, old school bits of London that are slowly dying out or being gentrified. As you might see, it's meant to focus on shops, markets, streets, bars, pubs of course (though no pubs featured yet).

Hopefully will at some point be useful for tourists (and even Londoners) looking to get off the beaten track but wondered if any tripadvisor posters had any suggestions for things to feature. Have a good amount of stuff in the pipeline but new ideas would always be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

It's a very enjoyable read - thanks for the link (even though this isn't TripAdvisor).

Sorry good point - apologies! Asked the same question on tripadvisor and then thought i'd ask the Fodorites as well! Glad you liked it.

Thanks for sending it. Only a little is old school though. Much is pretty modern (just tatty).

Bilboburger - thanks for the comment. Personally I think something that's relatively modern can be 'old school' as to me 'old school' is about something that's bevome a bit of a relic, maybe with a touch of nostalgia thrown in. Perhaps 'shabby London' would be a better title but I'm not sure that quite captures what I am trying to record! Anyway, we can agree to disagree!
