I couldn't go to Paris without sampling LOTS of macarons, but this shop was so charming, and had wonderful violet candy that I want to take home as a gift for my sister, who loves it.

I'm not implying that these are at the same fine candy level, but there is a store in New York that sells all kind of baking supplies including items for professionals, and they have candy flowers and dragees for decorating.
