Oktoberfest transportation

Hi,

We (2 people) will be staying at the Torbrau in Munich, near the city center, for a few nights during Oktoberfest. Can someone explain various modes of transportation to and from the fair grounds? Is it an easy walk or will we need to find alternate transportation?

Thanks!

It a fairly nice 45 minute walk, but you can easily get there on the U-Bahn (U4 or U5) from Marienplatz to Theresienwiese.

Torbräu is at the Isartor S-bahn stop. you can easily get to the Wies'n with public transport, it is so good.
(but on the way home, that's a different story!)

There are so many taxis waiting to take you home at the end of the night, have no worries.

Take any S-Bahn (direction Haubtbahnhof) to Hackerbrücke. It is a short walk from there.

Stevey,

Why don't you ask the Torbreau? The people there are terrific. You chose an excellent place to stay.

Many question asked on this forum could easily and accurately be answered by a simple email to the particular hotel. That is part of their job.
