I'm thinking of visiting Oktoberfest this year too (I actually have a hotel). I have a weekend near the end of September, but am traveling alone. Will an American traveling alone find it dangerous/too lonely, or even more fun because I don't have to keep up with anyone else! I had originally planned to go to Paris, until I realized I would be in Germany at the same time as Oktoberfest. I'd love to hear thoughts!

My friends and I will be in Munich on the 18th + 19th this month. We have a hotel but we didn't reserve anything for tents. There are 5 of us in total... Hopefully we'll find somewhere to squeeze in. Should be a blast anyways!
