Okay, So Who's Going to Paris in September?
I am taking my mother to Paris and London Sept. 7-17. It seems that a lot of other Fodorites are also planning September trips to Paris. So who's going and what special things have you planned?
|
Going to be in Paris first week of September to 2nd week of October. Will make lots of daytrips in the area and a 4 day week-ender to La Rochelle.
Hope you and your mother have a great time in Paris. Maybe the heat wave will be over by then. Better have a place with A/C just in case though. Larry J |
LarryJ...Thank goodness we do have A/C. But you know us girls. I think we are going to have to reshop for a new wardrobe with this heat wave! We had planned on weather in the low 70's. Not sure now what we will be having.
One of the nicer things we have planned is a bicycle day trip to Monet's Gardens. We are looking forward to that. Enjoy your trip! |
Paris will be my last stop before returning to the US the 26 September.
|
We will be in Paris, arriving Sept. 9 through Sept. 17. We have a 2 day side trip planned to Normandy in the middle of the week, so first 3 nights in Paris, 2 in Normandy, then 3 more in Paris. My first time there, although DW has been there before, so we'll be hitting all the obvious spots.
|
I'll arrive in Paris on Sept. 1 and depart on Sept. 11. I have a 2 night side trip to Bruges in the middle. While in Paris, we will take day trips to Giverny and Chantilly/Senlis. I'm debating 1 additional day trip - Reims, Vaux le Vicomte(sp), Chenonceau...
Have fun with your mom, Dejais! I'll be having my first mom-less birthday in Paris. We went there together several years ago and had so much fun so I thought it would be a good place to be this year. Are you on an organized bike ride to Giverny or taking the train and then renting the bikes by the train station? |
silly me, I thought they were cycling all the way!
|
annhig...Good one! You had me lauging.
cls2paris...We are on an organized bike trip. Railroad to Vernon where we pick up the bikes and picnic supplies and then we ride to Monet's village. If you have never done a bike or Segway tour in Paris, I highly recommend www.fattirebiketours.com. They are wonderful and give great tours. All Americans there so no language barrier and extremely fun and friendly! |
Thanks for the info Dejais. This will be my 4th trip to Giverny and I try to do each one slightly different. A lifetime goal of mine is to visit the gardens each of the 7 months it is open during the year. This time I am going to get there near the end of the day and hopefully miss some of the tour bus crowds. But the bike ride and picnic sound really fun...
