Okay, here's another Paris apartment to look at:

Hi, everybody. Everybody is so great on this forum about knowing which apartments are good.

Here's our situation: We can get frequent flier tickets to Paris (from Atlanta) arriving April 16 and departing April 23. We previously had thought of going in February, but I know April would have much better weather.

We've traveled lots (including France) but never to Paris. This trip would be for just my husband and me.

VRBO #23959 looks like a great little (and by little, I mean very SMALL) apartment. It's in the Rue de Grenelle area. Can someone look at this apartment and see if seems like a good place to stay? We don't need air conditioning, we don't mind that it's small, and we don't mind if it doesn't have an elevator. The rate would be E700 per week, which seems awfully inexpensive to me, so I'm not sure if it's really a nice place to stay or not.

Thanks for any help you can give us!

Please post the website. I happen to love rue Grenelle. Happy Travels!

It certainly looks charming from the pictures on the website. I'm wondering about the noise with the studio being on Blvd. Raspail. Isn't that a very large thoroughfare? I, too, love rue de Grenelle and the rue de Bac area ... so fun!

Sorry, you just go to www.vrbo.com and then enter in 23959 in the box for rentals. Thanks!

Samsaf: Thats a cute apartment, nicely decorated, I would like it, its a quiet area, very pretty. You can easily walk most places or catch the bus from there. Its nice to walk over to the eiffel tower at night. I'd say go for it.

Fantastic location - near Raspail market and Epicurie!

So it's quite possible that I'll be traveling to paris solo. Do you think between the 1st and 4th is a good spot? During the day, I'm not as concerned, but in the evenings, I would like to be in an active area close to my apartment. I think the apt. itself is really cute.

It looks good to me. I'd take it. The area is great. Plus, not too far away is Au Bon Marche department store which is great and the department store has a gourmet supermarket next door to it. It's right at the Sevres Babylone metro station. I shop at that market a lot.
I've been vacationing in Paris almost annually since the 70s so I've been in that area a lot as I stay not too far away in the 6th.

Yeah, it might be a bit noisy, but I never travel without those white, foam, earplugs. It's a big city so there's going to be noise. Have fun. Happy Travels!

Dear Samsaf,

I considered the same apartment but it was booked for our travel dates. Here is another website for it: www.parisleftbankrental.com/apt/grenelle.html
