Okay...booked flight..now need help with hotel

So we booked our flight to Paris for September and now we need help in choosing hotels. We'd love to stay in the 5th, 6th, or 7th arr. We also want to stay within $100-200 price range. It's also our honeymoon so maybe a quite romantic place. Thanks so much.

For their wedding gift, we gave my son and his wife their honeymoon to Paris. They stayed at the Hotel de Notre Dame very close to the cathedral and they were quite happy with it. They loved the location.

Try Hotel de Lutece which is located on romantic Ile St. Louis. The hotel has old-world charm and great staff. Ask for a top floor view room. You will be charmed when you hear the bells from Notre Dame.

Hi flip,

Perhaps not very romantic, but well-run and in a very good location, we always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. About 124E dbl w/bkfst. Larger rooms about 145E.

Hotel Bonaparte

FAX 33 1 46 33 57 67

For more info, enter "Hotel Bonaparte" in the "search this forum" box.

Try Hotel Rive Gauche, a lovely 2 star hotel in Saint Germain des Pres, it is in your budget, the hotel is very cean and the staff is great! The decoration is very typical of what you can find in Parisian hotels..I loved it...

Google "1 star hotels in paris" or whatever star you like.
My family considered Hotel Royal Cardinal, but settled on Hotel Esmeralda. 127E per night for family of 4. Read reviews and it will be quite a unique experience we hope. We area adventurous. It is in the 5th, with Notre Dame Cathedral out the window.

Ira, I sure hope the Hotel Bonaparte gives you a commission on the all the rooms you send their way. You might want to mention to them, they need to get an e-mail address or a web site.

There is a charming hotel on the border of the 7eme and 6eme about a block north of Blvd. St. Germaine, called the Hotel Saint Thomas d'Aquin (www.hotel-st-thomas-daquin.com). The hotel is in a wonderful location. We haven't stayed there for several years but passed by last fall when we were in Paris and it still looks very nice. It is in your price range.

Hi aliska
>Ira, I sure hope the Hotel Bonaparte gives you a commission ...

I'm sure that we all have our favorites.

>...they need to get an e-mail address or a web site.<

I believe that Mme Dumas has considered the possibility and rejected it.
