MK: just a suggestion: don't book a flight on a carrier that allows smoking.

Gary: Add to your list of stupid announcements: Put your hand-held game, CD player, cell phone, or laptop in the off position. It must remain in the off position until you are well inside the terminal. Question: which position is the "off position" -- east to west? vertical? missionary?

(I usually just turn it off and put in an any old position in my carryon -- thus defying authority in a way that Mythical Attendant Martha can't even see.)

To "hello": The real problem is carriers that "don't allow" smoking (that's all of them), but allow it anyway.

Thanks for the Votes Folks
My vote goes for Cleanliness's Bidet survey, very funny! When my daughter was getting ready to go to France a few years ago I went online to try to find a bidet instructions site.... no go. So cleanliness's suggestions still make sense to me!
