Oia Hotel with few stairs

Hello,
Is there a nice hotel in Oia with few stairs. We are in our 50's with bad knees.
We are going in August 2009, and I would like to book it now.
As for the $$$, no more than $500.00 a night.
Is there one very close to Oia village so we can enjoy easy walk to eat and stroll?

Thank you very much,
Sue

Unfortunately if you want a hotel in Oia with a caldera view there will almost always be some stair climbing. The Endless Blue Suite and the Atmospherico Suite at Aspaki Suites fit your needs perfectly. This is one of the most beautiful and well-located boutique hotels in the heart of Oia, just a few steps from the village square and many excellent restaurants. Endless Blue requires no stair climbing, Atmospherico just one flight.

With a view but more on the budget end of the scale check Aspa Villas and Olympic Villas. They are not as centrally located but are only about 15-20 minutes' walk from the village square.

If a view isn't important check the Museum Spa Hotel. It's also close to the square.

There are many others but they all require more stair climbing than those I've mentioned.

We stayed at Delfini Villas in Oia.
There was only one rather short staircase to get to the room we had.
It was a not a fancy room but we had a beautiful view.

Golden Sunset Villas is under the windmill (and one of their rooms actually is the windmill) at the far end of town. Our room was down a narrow flight of 8 - 10 steps, but other rooms were at basically the same level as the office/breakfast room. A cab can take you the 'back' way almost to the door so you don't have to trudge through the narrow streets like we did with our rolling luggage. Once there you are just at the edge of the heart of Oia with a beautiful view. www.goldensunsetvillas.com

I think the Nikos Villas might fit your bill. Right at the beginning of the extension along Oia with a great view of the Caldera. No stairs to access the property, and a short walk to the main drag. Very pretty and nice pool.

Is there a map of Oia with of the village and the hotels within the village?

Thank you all for the great ideas.

There is no definitive map of the village, and nothing current at all. Here is what I have but it is not very accurate as far as businesses go, only for the general layout of the village.
